He was born in Floyd County on April 24, 1910, to Joseph Wooster Cockram and Frances F. Agee Cockram. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Cockram.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Tella Mae Conner Cockram of the home; a number of nieces and nephews, and an aunt.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. today at Mountain View United Methodist Church with Bill Banks and James Houchins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
