~~~~~~~~~~~∼ ∼ ∼Mignhon McPhail DUSENBERY Having celebrated her 88th birthday just 5 days earlier, "Mema" (as her close friends and family knew her) went home to her Lord and Savior this Valentine's Day morning. Born February 9, 1917 in Hattiesburg, MS, she later attended Blue Mountain College. Mignhon was a faithful prayer warrior and pillar in her community. Beloved by all those who were touched by her graceful elegance; we share in the sorrow of her passing.
Survived by her husband of 30 years, Earl B. Dusenbery of Mercer Island, WA. She also leaves behind 7 children, 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her recently published memoirs, Happy Hooligan, are a legacy of her life's trials and victories.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, Feb 27th, at Mercer Island Covenant Church, 3200 - 78th Ave SE, Mercer Island, WA. Reception to follow. Memorials may be made to "Friends of Youth", 16225 NE 87th St., Redmond, WA 98052. Acacia Funeral Home, Seattle, WA.
