Philip C. JEFFS Age 82, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at his home in Bellevue, surrounded by family members. Phil was born September 23, 1929 in Burley, Idaho. He married Dorene McDowell in Walla Walla on July 11, 1948. Phil was employed as an electrician at Bell Telephone. He was eventually transferred to the Seattle area where he retired in 1990.
Throughout his life, Phil was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, giving many years of service. His wife, Dorene, died in 2001. On March 22, 2003, he married Carole John.
Survivors include wife Carole Jeffs, sister Elaine Damm, children Sandra (Jon) Cook, Catherine (Gary) Matthews, Debbie (Charles) Swan, P. Richard (Debra) Jeffs, Ronald (Wendy) Jeffs, Karen Taylor, Margaret Lee, 28 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Thelma Jeffs and his first wife Dorene Jeffs.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 17, at 1 pm, Bellevue South Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, public viewing 11am-12pm. Funeral arrangements under direction of Cedar Lawns Funeral Home (425-885-2414).
