Fannie P. Jones Lewis, 77 of 3121 Buffalo Road, Long Island, Virginia departed this life Thursday morning May 1, 2014 at Virginia Baptist Hospital.
Born June 4, 1936 in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Alonza Jones and Catherine Barbour Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lionell Lewis; a daughter, Lillie Stone; two sisters, Elizabeth Carr and Mary Womack and three brothers, James, Joseph and John Louis Jones.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Airy Baptist Church, where she served as member of the Gospel Chorus and Hospitality Committee.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday May 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Airy Baptist Church by Rev. Steven E. Taylor. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
