Martha and Adna were married for four years when he enlisted as a Private in Company H of the Massachusetts 13th Infantry Regiment during the US Civil War.
Martha passed away about one month after the birth of her second child at the young age of almost 27, while her husband was serving in the US Civil War, of consumption according to her death records. Interment verified thru death records.
