Henry Bennetts lost his life June 9, 1917 in the North Butte Granite Mountain Speculator Mine fire. It was the worst hard-rock mining disaster in American history.

Gravesite Details
Henry Bennetts is listed on the Granite Mountain Memorial in Mountain View but his headstone is in the family plot at Mount Moriah. His body was unidentified and he is thought to be buried in Mountain View. Mount Moriah has no record of his burial.
