Duane J. Woods was born September 11th, 1941 to Marvel Woods and Grace Fowler. He is the youngest of three sons. His older brothers are Larry Woods and Kay Woods. He married twice and had three sons. Vincent Woods, Richard Woods, Randy Woods.
Duane married Marilyn Louise Painter on January 17th, 1969. This was his final marriage. Together they stayed side by side the remainder of their lives. They raised four children together Kevin VonDell Taylor, Debra Ann Hudson, Kathy June Penrod, Wendy Sue Johnson.
Duane served in the United States Navy. He retired from Geneva Steel. He was a quiet man and for the most part soft spoken. He was gentle, kind, and easy going. Things seldom upset him. He was easy to talk to and fun to be around. He enjoyed spending hours playing card games with Marilyn and the kids. His one and only flaw is he liked to cheat at card games.
Duane was the greatest Dad that he didn't have to be! Four children will always be grateful that he was. He was gone way to soon but the mark he left behind will last forever for he is my Daddy and my Hero!
