His headstone is in error. The actual date of his passing was March 15th based on Military records.

Raymond served as a Sergeant on B-17E #41-2559, 4th Bomber Squadron, 34th Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Merrimack County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on October 7, 1940, prior to the war, in Concord, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents.

Raymond died in the "Line Of Duty", along with his entire crew, when his B-17 crashed in the Blue Mountains during training 20 miles southwest of Pendleton Field, Oregon during the war.
