Opal Boggs Butler 93 of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Grayson, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday May 8, 2014.

Opal was born Sept. 4, 1920 in Blaine, KY the daughter of the late Estill and Elizabeth Whitt Boggs. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Vernor Butler, a brother Claude Boggs, and a sister Beulah Jordan, and a step daughter Lola Jean Caudill.

Opal was a homemaker and a member of Lake Road Freewill Baptist Church in Grayson. She loved going to church and loved her church family.

She leaves behind two sons Merrill Sturgill of Columbus, OH and Farrell Sturgill and wife Bonnie of Louisa, KY; a grandson Michael Sturgill and wife Debbie; a great grandson David Sturgill; and a great great grandson Jayden Sturgill; two step daughters Colleen May and husband Jimmy also of Louisa and Jo Ann Stumbo and husband Tim of Grayson, KY; a step son Ralph Butler and wife Jean of Cold Springs, KY; a brother Estill Boggs Jr. of Columbia, SC and a sister Pauline Stephens and husband James of Westerville, OH

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday May 12th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Robert officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter Memory Gardens at Grayson, KY.
