Services for Rev. A.B. Cockrell were held in the First United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls of which he was a member. Graveside services were held in the Westover cemetery. He was a retired Methodist minister of the First United Methodist Church in Vernon. He served as the visitation minister for the church. He had been serving as pastor of the Margaret United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge. He married Agnes Humphrey on 12 May 1927 in Westover. Survivors include his wife; one son; two daughters; one brother; two sisters; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
