Mrs. Elizabeth Dougherty, 77, died yesterday morning after a heart attack at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Verne Bandeen, 316 S. Sacramento st.
Mrs. Dougherty, who came to Lodi from Florida five years ago, was born April 8, 1879 in Illinois. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Dougherty, who died Nov. 4, 1950.
In Florida, she had made her home in Pensacola, where she was an honorary life member of Florida Chapter 9, Order of Eastern Star; and a member of Pensacola Rebekah Lodge 85.
In Lodi, Mrs. Dougherty had attended the First Christian Church and was a member of the Hartford Women's Relief Corps, the Flora Rebekah Past Noble Grands Club, and the Golden Rule Club.
Besides Mrs. Bandeen, the deceased was the mother of Mrs. Nellie Lehew of Lodi, and also leaves a sister; Mrs. Gertrude Hamilton of Okawville, Ill.; a granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
