Charlie R. "C.R." James of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 13, 1929 in Kingsland, Arkansas the son of the late Charlie Perk and Sadie Ray Mitchell James. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan, was retired from Operator Engineers 382, and had served in the United States Army, having served in Germany during the Korean War. He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator, and enjoyed camping, fishing, "piddlin" with equipment, and spending time with his family. Mr. James died Friday, May 9, 2014 at the VA Hospital at the age of 85. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alva Ray James.
