Marlow - SARAH MAGDALENE TODD, 97, of Marlow, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, in Marlow.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Hunt and the Rev. W.F. Crow officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Sarah was born Sunday, Aug. 23, 1908, in Baxter County, Arkansas, to John Wesley and Nancy Lee (Hopkins) Dihel. Sarah attended the Flutie School in Baxter County, Arkansas. She lived in Shawnee before moving to Marlow in 1984. She married Alfred Ross Marsh in 1929 in Seminole. He preceded her in death in 1981. Sarah later married Roy C. Todd on Dec. 7, 1984, in Marlow, Oklahoma. He also preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1991. Sarah enjoyed oil painting, and telling people about Jesus. She would give away Bibles to anyone and everyone. Sarah was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marlow.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands; three sons, Arthur Marsh, Virgil Marsh, and Alfred Ross Marsh, Jr.; a step-daughter, Alora Nay; her parents; three brothers; two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis Wayne Marsh of Patton, Calif., and Larry Edward Marsh of Tuttle; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and E.J. Crow of Marlow; two step-daughters, Ruby Martin of Collinsville, and Norma Hunt of Shawnee; and 16 grandchildren.
Bearers are Tom Travis, Bob Patterson, Gene Cobb, Ron Newby, Mike Crow and Ron Crow.
Honorary bearer is Nathan Crow.
