FUNERAL SERVICES SET FOR RALPH D. KUNZ

Funeral services for Ralph D. Kunz, 39, of Utica, Mich., and formerly of Rochester, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church, with burial at Calvary Cemetery to follow.

Kunz was killed Friday in a motorcycle-car accident near his home in southern Michigan. He was born May 6, 1932, in Rochester and married Marilyn Ellingwood here June 14, 1954. He was president of the 1950 graduating class of Lourdes High School. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1950, and retired in Duluth after 20 years of service. He later moved to Utica where he was employed with the Michigan Air National Guard.

Survivors include his widow; his Mother, Mrs. Mary J. Dean of Rochester, five sons, Michael, James, Dennis, Joseph and Lawrence; one daughter, Kathleen; four sisters, Mrs. Arlie (Phyllis) Benike of Oronoco, Mrs. Frances Bratrud of Rochester, Mrs. George (Arlene) Juberian of Madison Lake, Mrs. Gordon (Maxine) Vale of Rochester,and one brother, Lt. Gerald Kunz with the U.S. Navy in Boston, Mass.

Friends may call at the Towey Funeral Home from 5 p.m. Tuesday until 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

An 18-member Duluth Air Force Base contingent will be in attendance. There will be a six-man color guard, a six-man gun salute, and six pallbearers.
