Ricky Carter Douglas was born on August 27, 1957 in Canton, Mississippi to Mrs. Maggie Jackson and the late Clarence Davis Jackson. He was one of five children. He departed this life on April 26, 2014 at the Medical University of South Carolina. He was 56.

Rick, as he was known to family and friends, was a 1975 graduate of Eau Claire High School in Columbia, South Carolina. He worked as a truck driver and security guard for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Davis Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his loving his loving memories, his mother, Maggie Jackson; his soul mate, Dianne Harris; daughters: Danielle, Saleena (Travis), Danita, and Shakera, all of South Carolina, and Shambreka of Georgia; sons: Ricky Alex, Tyshawn, Ricky Jr. and Austin, all of South Carolina; brothers: Jonathan (Deborah), Clarence (Evelyn) and Carl; sister, Emma, all of South Carolina; aunts, Charlie (Charles) Melvin and June (Elliott) Cox, all of South Carolina, and Ruth Anderson of Mississippi; uncles, Earl (Dotsy) Douglas and Stoney (Denise) Douglas, all of South Carolina; twelve grandchildren; many special relatives in Mississippi; special nieces: Kristy, Kim, Brittney (Kelvin) and Camara; and many other loving relatives and dear friends.
