"Mrs. Leanora C. Wilson of Port Jervis, beloved mother and loving grandmother, died Monday, January 9, 2006 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. She was 74.
She was born May 9, 1931 in Manhattan, N.Y., the daughter of the late Marcus James and the late Katherine Jarvis McKenzie.
A longtime resident of the area, she was the widow of the late Joseph Wilson.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph Wilson and his wife, Marcia, and Douglas Wilson, both of Port Jervis; five daughters: Janet Henderson and her husband, Tony, Leanora Washington, Desiree Leonard, Kathleen Scott, Katherine Phillips and her husband, Russell, all of Port Jervis; sister, Jeanette E. Robinson of Henderson, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Jason Henderson, Natacha Wilson, Trina Scott, Christopher Logan, Sierra Phillips and Scyler Phillips; six great-grandchildren: Erica Scott, Xavier Scott, Denya Moore, Tevin Henderson, Marcus Henderson and Osyrus Wilson; and also nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Kim Louise Wilson and a granddaughter, Pasha Henderson.
Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, N.Y.
