Husband of Mildred Kathryn Fitzgerald Madden.

John served as a Private, 879th Port Battalion, Transportation Corps, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Merrimack County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on March 11, 1944 at Fort Deven's, Massachusetts. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Manufacturing Foremen and also as Married.

John died in the "Line Of Duty" of a non-battle related incident in Alaska during the war.
