Amy Lea Campbell, 43, of McAlester, winged her way to the arms of Jesus on Thursday morning, May 8, 2014 at her residence. Born in McAlester on April 28, 1971 to Dan and Peggy Campbell, Amy graduated from McAlester High School in 1987. Faced with many difficulties and setbacks, Amy will be remembered for her sweet disposition and ever positive attitude despite the hardships she endured. She loved to smile and laugh and was quite the joker. She lived with grace and courage. She is survived by her parents: Peggy and Ken Campbell of the home, Dan and Jackie Campbell of Norman; sister: Amber Campbell of Austin, Texas; brother: Grant Campbell of Dallas, Texas; niece and nephew: Allie and Isaac of Austin, Texas; paternal grandparents: Neva and Gene Campbell of McAlester; cousins: J.J. Sanders of Dallas, Justin and Whitney Sanders and son, Cannon of New Jersey; uncles: John and Delores Campbell, Joe Gene and Lucy Campbell, and extended family: Vicky Ivey, Deeanna Adams, and Taylor Countz. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Dee and Lucille Sanders; her uncle: Johnny Dee Sanders; extended family: Virgil and Louise Clark, Billye and James Countz, Ricky Clark, and Mike Countz. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Oak Hill Cemetery with Davey Warren officiating.
