Clara R. Gibbs of Andalusia, Ill., which occurred at 9 p.m. Wednesday at her home. Mrs. Gibbs had been in poor health since the death of her brother, Ira N. Reynolds.
Mrs. Gibbs was born Oct. 24, 1881, the daughter of John L. and Alvira Barrows Reynolds. She was one of 12 children, seven of whom and her parents preceded her in death.
She was married to George Gilbert Gibbs, Dec. 21, 1899 at Muscatine. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Charles Duggan and one son Bertice Gibbs, all of Andalusia, two brothers, Robert M. and Leon A. Reynolds, two sisters, Mrs. Harry A. Hubbard and Mrs. Minnie McCartney, beside five grandchildren, Charles Gibbs of New Canton, Ill., Dennis Duggan, Herbert, Mary and Dorothy Gibbs of Andalusia, and a number of nieces and nephews.
One son George R. Gibbs preceded her in death.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
