DAVENPORT - William G. Paulsen, 61, a resident of Davenport, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Genesis Medical Center West Campus following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.
The family will greet friends Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Holy Family Cemetery, Davenport.
William G. Paulsen was born January 15, 1948, in Davenport, a son of Vernon J. and Margaret V. (Haase) Paulsen. He graduated from Assumption High School Class of 1966. Bill then attended St. Ambrose College.
He was proud to have served in the National Guard for four years.
Most recently, he had been employed by Lance Vending, as a vending route driver.
Memorials can be made to the family.
Survivors include a sister, Jeanne Paulsen, Davenport; brothers, John "Jack" (Maxine) Paulsen, Gun Barrel City, Texas, and Tom Paulsen and Sandra, of Davenport; as well as a niece and nephew, Melissa Paulsen and Gary Paulsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
