Survivors: Wife, Roxana Alexander Hilliard; a son, Daniel Berger, of Gastonia, N.C.; daughters, Roxy Thrasher of Anderson and Kathy Berger of Walhalla; one grandchild, Shawn Wood, reared in the home; five additional grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Predeceased: Parents, Joe Hilliard Sr. and Nora Stephens Hilliard.
Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Concord Baptist Church, with the service at 3 p.m. Entombment: Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
