Patricia May, 72, passed away Thursday May 8, 2014 at her home following a short but valiant battle with cancer.
Patricia was born in Mackay, Idaho July 18,1941. Her parents were Gilbert (Pat) E. Hocking and Erma Hocking (Lords). She grew up in Mackay and graduated from Mackay High School in 1959. On March 5, 1960 she married her high school sweetheart, Ivan May, in Pocatello and has resided there ever since.
Patricia was a kind hearted soul and devoted her life to her family. She loved the outdoors and being in the sunshine. She enjoyed going 4-wheeling, especially in the mountains surrounding Mackay. A few of her favorite places to go ride was up to Green River and Wildhorse in Copperbasin. She had a love for hummingbirds. She enjoyed watching them while sitting on the back porch of her brother's house in Mackay. Patricia loved spending time with her family and enjoyed watching her grandkids grow. She tried her best to attend all of their games and performances. She was always there to support and cheer them on. She was the best "Nana" in the world.
Patricia will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She will live in our hearts forever and will be next to us as we continue our path in life.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Ivan May, 2 children, Greg May, Stephanie Engle, 3 grandkids, Daniel, Tyler, and Ashley, 2 sisters, Lola Sullivan and Marketa Rukavina, and a brother, Ronnie Hocking.
