Karen Ann James, 53, of Westfield, passed away December 29, 2012. She was born in Lubbock, TX on January 9, 1959 to the late Gen W. and Phyllis A. Taylor James. Following graduation from high school, Karen became a hair stylist owning her own beauty salon.

Karen loved life - she enjoyed cooking (especially salmon) and shopping for unusual types of jewelry because she loved fashion. She collected contemporary art, enjoyed fishing and movies and driving her Jaguar. Karen had a love for all animals, however, she dearly loved her Terrier dog and Callie her cat. She also owned her own horse and was privileged to keep him at the ranch where she worked in CA. Karen traveled both domestically and internationally saying Paris was her favorite destination.

Karen is survived by her fiancé, Donald E. Poynts of Westfield; nephew, Tony James of Bakersfield, CA; step-daughter to be, Lisa K. Hause of Westfield and step-grandson to be, Tyler D. Hause of Westfield.

Karen's loved ones request memories be shared by signing her guestbook as a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
