FRANK A. SPENCER
Frank A. Spencer was a man in the tradition of the fine and substantial citizenship of old Portland. Here he had made his place in the earlier business life of the community. Here he had served worthily in a varied list of useful civic activities. Here he had watched the place of his chosen home grow from a sprawling country town to a great city. He had done well his own part in contributing to that development.
His character was forthright and sturdy. His active mind led him into varied activities and interests, not alone in civic affairs but also in politics, in outdoor sports and in cultural things. His friends were in many walks of life. They will mourn him and miss him.
