Wheatland ---- James Monroe Chronister, 51, formerly of Weaubleau, will be buried with military honors Thursday. Mr. Chronister, who died Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City, served with the 101st Airborne Division in World War II.
A funeral home spokesman said he had a long list of citations, including one from the President. Mr. Chronister made his home in Kansas City.
He is survived by his wife, Edith, of the home; one son, James Jr., serving in the Army; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Kay Anderson of Pittsburg, Mrs. Peggy Ann Gates, Kansas City, and Miss Janice Fay Chronister, of the home; one half-brother, Charles, state of California; two sisters, Mrs. Akie Wilson and Mrs. Glen Popem, both of the state of California.
Funeral services willb e at 2 pm Thursday in Cross Timbers Christian Church followed by burial in Cross Timbers Cemetery, under direction of Hathaway.
Members of the 101st Airborne Division of Fort Campbell, Ky., will conduct military service. The chaplain will officiate.

US Military Application for Tombstone for Military Veterans lists his Medals as follows:
Bronze Star, Purple Heart, President Citation, Infantry Badge, Good Conduct.
