Catherine Rose Curry was born on July 13, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York to Vincent and Rose Dente Cortazzi. She passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in Katy, at the age of 82 years.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Curry and his wife, Karen, and Joanne Reeves; grandchildren, Sean Curry, Jeremy Reeves and his wife, Lindsay, Heather Banks and her husband, Mike, and Brian Reeves and his wife, Emilie; and great grandchildren, Maryn Reeves, Zoey Banks, and Cash Banks. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald Curry; two sisters, Jean and Marie; and a brother, Carmine.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Michael McGuire reciting. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, in Katy, with Rev. John Kha Tran, Celebrant. Interment in Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
