Connie Louise Curtis, 65, of Grand Island died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Hazard with the Rev. Martin Egging officiating.
Burial will be at Litchfield Cemetery.
She was born July 22, 1948, near Litchfield to Ardith and Loretta (Hansen) Siegel.
On June 29, 1974, she married Raymond Curtis at Hazard.
Survivors include her husband; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Kathy Siegel of Litchfield; sister, Joyce Birchard of Central City; and several nieces and nephews.
She grew up near Litchfield and attended a one-room school near there. She later graduated from Litchfield High School. She then graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1969.
She worked at Good Samaritan Hospital after graduation until she moved to San Diego early in 1974. She was a registered nurse at several places around San Diego.
After Ray was discharged from the U.S. Navy, she worked in hospitals and as a private-duty nurse. She finished her nursing career at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island.
She enjoyed traveling across the country with her husband and spending time with her nieces and nephews, collecting antiques, and going to St. Louis Cardinals games.
She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
