He was the son of the late R. Francis and Bertha "Dolly" Stager Topper.
Mr. Topper was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fairfield. At the time of his death, Mr. Topper was employed by American Home Mortgage Company. He was precious employed by PNC Bank and by Washington Mutual.
He was a former member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Gettysburg Area Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the board of the Inter-Faith Housing Authority.
He is survived by a companion, Barry K. Andrews; a step-mother, Mary Topper of Orrtanna; three brothers, Roger F. Topper of Carroll Valley, David M. Topper of Gettysburg, and Allen J. Topper of Hanover; two sisters, Barbara E. MacPherson of Orrtanna and Teresa M. Shelton of New Oxford; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Unger.
