Mrs. Catherine May “Kate” James, widow of the late Joseph T. James, formerly of 123 S. Fifth Street, passed away June 3, 1960. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, she had been a resident of this area for 55 years. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America. Survived by 1 son, Aidan J. James of Maplewood, New Jersey; 1 grandson, Thomas James of Tunesia; 5 sisters Mrs. John Beckroege of San Gabriel, Mrs. Bell West of Porterville, Mrs. Blanche Van Ness of Stockton, Mrs. Lillian Buchanan of Danville, Mrs. Ruth Baumgartner of Fresno. Arrangements in charge of Turner & Stevens, Alhambra, to be announced later.
