GUYMON, OKLA. - Dorothy L. Haar, 72, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, in Elkhart, Kan.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Terry Armstrong, pastor, and the Rev. Jerry Johnson, pastor of First Assembly of God in Springer, N.M., officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Haar was born April 26, 1933, in Groom, Texas, to Betrice Aaron Johnson and Stanford Odell Johnson. Dorothy attended Stratford, Texas, schools and was united in marriage to J.B. Jacobs in 1951. They had three children, Suzanne, John and Randy Jacobs. She later married Edward Haar in 1967, and they added their children, Tyra and Kent Haar, to their family. Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Ed Haar passed away in 1994, and Dorothy continued to manage the family farm. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Vicki Johnson; and a brother, Bill Johnson.

Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Nix and husband, Steve, of Liberal, Kan., and Tyra Combs and husband, Larry Dean, of Holcomb, Kan.; three sons, John Jacobs and wife, Charnelle, and Kent Haar, all of Guymon, and Randy Jacobs and wife, Monne, of Edmond; two sisters, Mildred Baxter and husband, Boyd, of Lelia Lake, Texas, and Linda Gray and husband, Buster, of Clarendon, Texas; two brothers, Gene Johnson and wife, Helen, of Dewey, Ariz., and Jerry Johnson and wife, Angie, of Farley, N.M.; 12 grandchildren, Brandi and Bryan Jacobs, Karalyn Fontes, Tanner and Payton Jacobs, Brandon and Sheabree Nix, McKenzie and Gracen Becker, and Taylor, Sahayla and Breckyn Haar; seven great-grandchildren, Brighton and Reese Windham, Jacob Moore, and Rain, Sage, Judah and Hannah Jacobs; and a host of family and friends.

The family suggests memorials be to Church of the Nazarene Children's Ministry or the Morton County Hospital and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.

The family will be at the Airport Road residence.
