Robert Painter, son of Hannah (née Braddock) and John Painter, senior, was born on 21 January 1738 in Evesham Township, Burlington County, Province of New Jersey.
Robert Painter and Eunice Osmond were married on 16 December 1761 in Frederick County, Virginia. The couple had no children. Robert Painter is thought to have died around 1811.
"Robert Painter, Son of John and Hannah Painter, and Eunice Osmond, Daughter of John and Martha Osmond; 16th day of 12th month, 1761; at Crooked Run [Frederick County, Virginia]." Will of John Painter, senior, dated 6 Feb 1770, proved 5 Mar 1771: "I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Robert Painter all my blacksmith tools which he hath in his possession to him his heirs and assigns forever [...] It is my will that all the remainder of my movable estate be equally divided amongst my said children as I allow, Sarah Humber, John Painter, Robert Painter, Jane Branson, Thomas Painter, Isaac Painter, and Hannah Painter to them their heirs and assigns forever."
