Charles Bagley, 78 years old, of Spooner, WI, passed away on May 5, 2014 surrounded by his immediate family. Chuck was born August 19, 1935 in Barron, WI to Charles and Harriet (Gowin) Bagley.

Chuck attended Barron Area Schools and lived his life in Barron, Rice Lake and Spooner. He had a love of antiques, collected and restored antique engines, and was a long-time member of the Hungry Hollow Gas and Steam Engine Club. Chuck had a love for the outdoors and taught his children and grandchildren to hunt, fish and respect the environment.

Chuck worked with many from the area in the farming and agricultural community as owner of Northern Farm Equipment in Rice Lake, the J.I. Case farm machinery dealership from 1970 to 1981. He was an entrepreneur who owned and operated several other businesses including Charlie's Pure Oil, C&J Enterprises, Barron Bait & Tackle, Bagley's Appraisal Service and Bagley's Antiques. Chuck married Katherine Werts on June 2, 1956 in Nashua, Iowa at the Little Brown Church in the Vale.

Chuck is survived by his wife Kathrine of 58 years, daughter Cherie Bagley of Spooner, son Michael (Patricia) of South Range, WI and son Lester Bagley (Wendy) of Minneapolis, MN; 7 grandchildren – Jade & Caine Hambacher; Kelvin, Shayla and Tracy Bagley; and, Michael and Charles Bagley; brother Russell of Ladysmith and sister Janice of Almena, sisters-in-law Lila Bagley and Leilani Lott, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Hattie, Sister Margie Horel and brother Ronald.

Services for Charles will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Barron, WI with Rev. Mary Anne Conklin officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 from 4-7 PM at Rausch & Steel Funeral Home in Barron, WI and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron, WI.
