He was born on Oct. 25, 1878, in Monongalia County, W. Va., a son of John L. and Hester Anderson Tennant. His wife, the former Cora Ellen Yeager, preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 1937. He was employed in the oil fields as a young man and later was a farmer. He was also a former road supervisor. He has been retired for several years.
A brother, Jesse B. Tennant, and sister, Mrs. Margaret McClure, both of Blacksville, W. Va., survive. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was a member of the Claughton Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery. Friends will be received after 1 PM today "Monday" at the Weaver Funeral Home, Waynesburg
