BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES
(by Sigrid's step-great-granddaughter Gale Boetius Perez, Find a Grave Member 47724849)

Sigrid was born in Fadestrup Mølle, Ulstrup Parish, Ålborg (now North Jutland) county, Denmark. Her parents were Thomas Weinschenck (born 7 July 1848 in Gunderupgaard, Strandby, Gislum, Ålborg; died 28 Sep 1898) and Andrea Kirstine Kjeldsen (born 1 Dec 1851 in Mølgaard, Havbro, Aars, Ålborg; died 13 Oct 1890 in Fadestrup Mølle, Ulstrup, Års, Ålborg).

According to the 1930 Danish census, Sigrid and Carl married in 1916. Sigrid taught in the Østrigsgades Skole from 1915-1937 (see www.skolekammeraten.dk/galleri1.php).

Sigrid's date of death and place of burial are being researched, but she was alive until at least 1974. Her residence in the 1967 Copenhagen city directory was an apartment on the second floor of Strandvejen 429, where she and her husband Carl Boetius had lived after moving from Svinget 26 in Copenhagen. Strandvejen 429 is in Gentofte, just north of Copenhagen, and was built by the famous Danish architect Arne Jacobsen.
