He was born November 16, 1929 in Fort Smith to William Wesley and Mamie Lee Morton Kimes.
He was retired from the U.S Air Force after 20 plus years of service in both Korean and Vietnam Wars. He later retired from North American Van Lines as a driver and he was of the Protestant Faith.
He is survived by one sister, Mary Ann Bagwell of Fort Smith; one brother, Tommy L. Kimes of Shreveport, LA.
Graveside service will be Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Roselawn Cemetery with Military Honors, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
