ANNIVERSARY -- Mr. and Mrs. Henry Albert, long-time farm residents of this community, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 4 with a family dinner at the Marion Carter home in Trenton.

Present at the dinner were the Alberts' eight children and their families: Mr. and Mrs. Marion Carter and Leon of Trenton; Mr. and Mrs. Neil Murray and Nancy, Stephen, and Anne of Holdrege; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lucas and David, Glenna, Danny, Mark, and Marty of Van Nuys, California; Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Gallavan and Greg and Claudine of Denver, Colorado; Miss Martha Albert of Seattle, Washington; Miss Marian Albert of Lincoln; Kenneth Albert; and Rev. and Mrs. Jerry McInnis of Culbertson. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Debus and family and Mr. and Mrs. John Gies of Lincoln.

An open house for relatives and friends of the honored couple was held at the family home northwest of Culbertson from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Rev. Martin G. Braun, pastor of Zion Evangelical U.B. church, led a short devotional period. Miss Marian Albert modeled her mother's wedding gown.

Carrying out the ruby theme, the table was centered with an arrangement of red carnations, a tiered wedding cake and portraits of the honored couple as they appeared forty years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert were married in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 4, 1914. They have been residents of the Culbertson community for 37 years.
