Benjamin Franklin Bramel, a well known Christian county farmer, died at St. Mary's hospital at 4:30 o'clock Tuesday (27 Aug.) afternoon. He was sixty-six years old. He had been in poor health for some time and was brought to the hospital Monday for an operation.

Benjamin was well known in Blue Mound and vicinity. His home was in Christian county, six miles northwest of Blue Mound. He had lived in that neighborhood the greater part of his life.

Benjamin was born August 11, 1852 in Harrison county, Ky., the son of Elias Elisha and Rebecca Moran Bramel. The family moved to Christian county when he was a boy. He is survived by his wife, Fannie (Travis) and the following children: Elmer Franklin Bramel of Decatur; Arthur Bramel of Mount Auburn; Mrs. Charles Watts of Mount Auburn; Mrs. Orville Pistorius of Boody; Mrs. Ben Copenbarger of Niantic; and Miss Grace Bramel, who lives on the home farm. He also leaves three brothers, W. O. Bramel of Mt. Auburn; Thomas Bramel and Wilmer Bramel of Niantic.
