CATHY J. PATTERSON, 55, of Galena formerly of Westerville, passed away peacefully Monday May 5, 2014 at St Ann's Hospital in Westerville after a long battle with diabetes with her loving family by her side.
She was born on December 5, 1958 in Columbus to the late Clifford and Catherine (Rodgers) Miller. She was a 1977 graduate of Westerville High School and was a Registered Medical Assistant for 25 years at Manor Care.
Cathy was a free spirit and had a lot of spunk. She will be remembered for her giving nature and devotion to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years: Larry Patterson and they were married March 21, 1992 in Westerville; sister: Sharon (Chuck) Miller of Westerville; nephews: Bill (Becky) Miller of Reynoldsburg, Cody (Holly) Miller of Grove City. She helped raise four grandchildren: Trisha Cabassa of Elyria, Eugenio Cabassa of Cleveland, Carlos Cabassa and Rachel Cabassa of the home. In addition she has 5 great-grandchildren 2 great-nephews and many other friends and family members who will miss her very much.
Preceded in death by her sister: Karen Burgess.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Friday 11 a.m. with Pastor James Meacham officiating. Interment will follow in the Galena Cemetery.
