Benson, Betty Jean Of Golden Valley, passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Earl and Ruby Hunter. Survived by loving husband of 57 years, Lowell; sons, Scott and wife Brenda, Todd and fiancee Toine Smallwood; brother, Donald Hunter and wife Marlys; brother-in-law, Virgil Benson and wife Carolyn; brother-in-law, Robert Fagerholm and wife Elsie; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was a joy to all that knew her including all the health care people who faithfully cared for her. Betty's Christian faith sustained her in her 5 year struggle with metastasis breast cancer and she was an inspiration to everyone. Special thanks to all the wonderful people who cared for her, Minnesota Oncology at Virginia Piper Cancer Institute and Allina Home, Hospice and Palliative Care.
