Nicole M. Hoover, 41, of Berwick passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, following a brief illness.
Born in Irvington, N.J., on Aug. 29, 1972, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Mary (Appleyard) Corsano Balazs of Berwick, and the late Perry Vincent Corsano. She attended Berwick High School and was a certified nurse's assistant. She worked as a private in-home caregiver for many years, and was currently employed at Balanced Care at Bloomsburg.
Nicole enjoyed crafting and flower arranging. She was always willing to help others whenever they needed. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, family members and those she loved.
In addition to her mother, she will be greatly missed by her companion, Bill Switzer, at home; loving children: Monique Harmon, New York; Perry Harmon, Berwick; Emily Sprung, Berwick; Corrine Fulton, Berwick; sisters: Tracy A. Hess and companion, Douglas Bankes, Wapwallopen; Christine Balliet and husband, Roger, Wapwallopen; brother, Joseph Corsano, and companion, Wendy Brassington, Nescopeck. She is also survived by nieces and nephew: Angelica Hess; Amanda Dohl; Taylor, Tricia and Tori Rozelle; aunts and uncles including Margaret Miano, Berwick; numerous cousins: Bill's little darlings, Whitney and Lybbi Switzer; and special friends, David and Judy Hiller, Berwick.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Anna and John Appleyard.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Heller Funeral Home, 633 E. Third St., Nescopeck.
