Services for Mrs. Inez Portley-Thornton, 88, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at New Smith Chapel House of Prayer, Tatum. Burial will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery in Tatum. Arrangements are by Stanmore Funeral Home. Mrs. Thornton was born June 1, 1925, in Tatum, and died April 28, 2014, in Longview. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. today, May 2, 2014, at the funeral home.
