Major League Baseball Player. Nicknamed ‘Cuckoo', he was an outfielder making his debut for the Washington Senators on September 20, 1915. For eighteen seasons, he played with the Washington Senators (1915-17), Philadelphia Athletics (1918) and Cleveland Indians (1919-32). He was a member of the 1920 World Series Championship Cleveland Indians and led the American league in hits with 222 in 1923. He concluded his career with a record of 1990 hits, 1062 runs scored, 18 home runs, 552 runs batted in and .303 batting average.
