Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Etta Alger, 82, a long time resident of Kingsley who died Monday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness, were held at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday in the Church of the Brethren. Rev. Vernon Powell officiated, and interment was in the Kingsley cemetery under direction of the Dicikson funeral home
Mrs. Alger was born November 13, 1871 in Louisa county Iowa.
She was married to Charles Alger March 18, 1891. They made their home in Kingsley for over fifty years where he operated a feed and then a produce business for many years. He died in 1952.
Survivors are a son, Ernest, of Kingsley four daughters, Mrs. Laurel Collins, of Kingsley; Mrs. Opal Lawrence, of Edmondton, Canada; Mrs. Wilma Bainbridge, of Elkton, S. D.; and Mrs. Muriel Kurtz, of Wentworth ,S. D, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
