She was a Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant for more than 30 years in Bowie, Texas and Waurika, Oklahoma.
Survivors include, one daughter, Donalda Sue Strickland and her husband Gerald T. of Granbury, Texas; two grandchildren, Steven Strickland of Fairfield, Calif., and Lorie Karol of Frederick, Md.; four great-granddaughters, Stephanie, Danielle, and Marissa Strickland, and Nichole Karol; one great-grandson, Bryan Strickland; two brothers, Elmer and Emmitt; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D.J. "Dink" Blackburn in 1974; her father in 1972; her mother in 1987; three sisters, Reva in 1995, VaLois in 1996, and Maxine in 1997.
