Kathryn Engle Kelley, of Vinton, went Home to the Lord's mansion on Sunday, May 4, 2014, after a lengthy illness. She was born at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on September 13, 1946, daughter of the late Oscar and Madeline Ford Engle. Her son, Rickey Lee Kelley, and a sister, Joanne Young also preceded her in death. A lifelong Vinton resident, Kathryn was a 1964 graduate of William Byrd High School. She was also an active member of Midland Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She retired from the Accounts Payable Department of GE after 32 years of service. She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Elmon L. Kelley; sister, Nancy Engle Graham of Roanoke; and brother, Jerry C. Engle of Botetourt County. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Pastor Rodger Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, www.oakeys.com. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel, Vinton.
