He is survived by his wife Pam (nee Moss) Gross, sons Dennis Gross, II and wife Krysta of Crystal City, Missouri and Adam Gross and wife Sarah of Farmington, Missouri, brothers Stanley R. Gross and wife Mary of Imperial, Missouri, Roger D. Gross and wife Patricia of Festus, Missouri, Larry D. Gross and wife Carol of Herculaneum, sisters Janet R. Leuthauser of Valley Park, Joan C. Gibson and husband Jerry of Potosi, Missouri, a sister-in-law Jean Gross and three grandchildren Riley, Jackson and Trenton Gross.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step-mother Laura (nee Green) Gross, brothers Harold Gross, Jim McClain and his late wife Ronnie, and a brother-in-law Alfred Leuthauser.
He was employed as a varnish maker for US Polymers Accurez in St. Louis, Missouri, a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Herculaneum, Elks Lodge #1721 and the Festus/Crystal City Conservation Club.
Visitation at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus, 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, August 14, 2011 with funeral service 9:00 A.M., Monday, August 15, 2011, officiated by Fr. Joseph Wormek. Graveside service 2:00 P.M., Monday at Shiloh Baptist Cemetery in Shook, Missouri, officiated by Rev. Louie Robinson, with visitation in Shiloh General Baptist Church beginning at 1:00 P.M. Monday. Memorials preferred to the American Diabetes Association.
