Surrounded by loved ones, Brian Keith Beck, age 58, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully in his sleep April 30, 2014, at 9:36 p.m., after a long battle with liver disease. He was born Nov. 5, 1955, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Vernon Dale and Gretchen Christine (nee Schroeder) Beck.
In 1957, they moved to Las Vegas. He graduated from Valley High School in 1973. He was very interested in electronics and went on to DeVry Technological Institute. He could build or repair just about anything. He was a warm, good-hearted person, who was loved, admired and respected by many.
He was preceded in death by stepfather, Mike Borchers. He is survived by his beloved parents, Vernon Dale Beck of Laughlin, and Gretchen Christine Schroeder-Beck-Borchers of Las Vegas; devoted sisters, Melanie Kathryn and Lisa Karen Beck of Las Vegas and Cynthia Christine Beck-Triguba (Mark) of Westerville, Ohio; brother, Garold Cameron Beck (Linda) of Las Vegas; nieces, Brianna Christine Beck, Tatiana Christine and Katarina Anne Triguba; loved one, Kathie Los of Las Vegas; pets, Natasha, Sookie and Yaki; and many other loved friends and relatives.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, May 7, with services following, both at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. An open mike will be available during the services for those who wish to share memories.
