Archie A. Dawson, Rancher, Dies
Archie A. Dawson, 77, of Armington, a rancher in that area since 1913, died at his home Tuesday morning.
Dawson was born Feb. 16, 1861, in Iowa, and came to this state in 1891. He settled in Bozeman and there married Mary Alice Wadkins, May 26, 1897. The couple moved to Raynesford to homestead the next year. They came to Armington 35 years ago when they bought their ranch three miles east of that town.
Besides his wife, Dawson is survived by seven children, Mrs. Leona Carlson, James K. Dawson, Floyd A. Dawson, Melvin E. Dawson and John Dawson, all of Armington, and Mrs. Mary Bell, Geraldine, and Mrs. Sally Cassidy, Great Falls; three brothers, Edward Dawson, Armington, Earl Dawson, Garden City, Kansas, and W. B. Gilbert, Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Killion, Garden City, Kan.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Archie A. Dawson, 77, of Armington, a rancher in that area since 1913, died at his home Tuesday morning.
