Mr. Terry Joe Haynes, born May 4, 1969 in Hayti to the late Sharon Haynes, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 44 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was united in marriage to Lisa Grogan on February 6, 2004 in Blytheville, Ark. He worked for SRT in Blytheville.
Mr. Haynes' survivors include his wife, Lisa Haynes, of Steele; two sons: Tyler Farmer and Jacob Farmer of Steele; one sister, Janie Cannon of Steele; and his mother-in-law, Earlene Grogan of Steele; and many other relatives and friends.
After his mother's death, Terry was raised by Rickey and the late Juanita Tomlin. He considered his cousins to be brothers and sisters.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with Mr. Tim Howard officiating. Visitation was held from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, May 5, at the Powell Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers were Brandon Dent, Bryan Buchanan, Denny Perrydore, Israel Whisnant, Josh Whisnant and Tobi Thorn. Steve Griggs, Gary Jackson and Scott Kennedy were honorary pallbearers.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
