Barbara A. (Wise) Kling, 79, formerly of Spring Grove, passed away at home on May 2, 2014. She was the loving wife of Charles W. Kling; together they shared over 42 years of marriage. Barbara was born in Spring Grove on November 14, 1934 and was the daughter of the late S.D. "Bosh" Wise and Anna C. (Wolfe) Wise. She graduated from Spring Grove High School class of 1952. She worked as a Secretary in the Maintenance Dept. for P.H. Glatfelter Co. for 39 years. She was a charter member of the Spring Grove Historical and Preservation Society and also the editor of the Ripplet Newsletter for 27 years. She was a former member of Mt. Zion UCC and Trinity Roth's UCC, where she enjoyed singing on the choir and was a current member of Christ United Church of Christ in Codorus. She was also a member of the P.H. Glatfelter Quarter Century Club. She loved her family and cherished traveling with her husband throughout the United States and Internationally. In addition to her husband Charles, she is survived by her stepchildren William J. Kling and wife Anita of Missouri, Beth Chance and husband James of Maine, Linda Ranaudo and husband Sam of Lemont PA, Laura Verdi and husband Tony of Maryland; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Ann Becker and husband Charles of Spring Grove; her brother David Wise and wife Joyce of Spring Grove; her nieces Christine Mummert and husband Bill of Spring Grove and Kathy Wise of Spring Grove; her nephews David Wise and wife Wendy of Arizona and Bill Wise of North Carolina. She was predeceased by her stepson Byron C. Kling in 2007. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Roth's United Church of Christ, 6417 Church Rd. Spring Grove with Pastor Bill Mummert officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
